Therapy Services

From the comfort of your home or the convenience of your office, you can access effective support through online therapy sessions.  We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to conduct online video sessions to those in the states of New York and Florida.

Individual Therapy

People are naturally resilient. Thinking, behavioral, and interpersonal patterns that may not work for us at present may have worked for us in the past.

Issues commonly addressed in individual therapy include depression, anxiety, identity, grief and loss, life transitions, imposter syndrome, relationship difficulties, concerns related to self-esteem and self-worth, and work-life integration.

Relationship/Couples

Relationship difficulties are inevitable. Couples therapy can help support you and your partner(s) in creating a relationship that works for you. Within couples therapy, you will learn to identify your unhelpful interaction cycle and design a new pattern that heals and energizes your relationship.

You will learn how to communicate your thoughts, feelings, and needs to each other in a way that helps, maximizing the chances of understanding and being understood.

Not all people who seek couples therapy desire to continue their relationship. It takes courage to acknowledge that the relationship is coming to a close and to reach out for support to help with the process. Although the ending of a relationship can be agonizing and confusing, we can work together to consolidate what you have learned as a result of the relationship, to end things peacefully, and to transition into a different phase of life.

Perinatal Mental Health

Pregnancy, surrogacy, adoption, childbirth, and parenting bring dramatic changes to your life, your relationships, and your well-being.  While it can be an exciting transition, the changes that coincide with the perinatal period can also leave you feeling overwhelmed, worried, guilty, sad, and unable to sleep or relax.  While many experience some mild mood changes during/after a child is born, 15 to 20% of women and 10% of men experience more significant symptoms of depression or anxiety.

People of every culture, age, income level and race can develop perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Symptoms can appear any time during pregnancy and the first 12 months after childbirth. We help parents with perinatal mental health complications including anxiety, depression, obsessions and compulsions, and psychosis with effective and well-researched interventions. You are not alone, you are not to blame, and with help you will be well.

Assessment Services

For children, adolescents, and adults

A comprehensive assessment can look at many different possible causes of difficulties like depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning, and general functioning. Through evaluation, we can make accurate diagnoses and can also rule out other problems.

Methods for assessment include:

  • facilitating a clinical interview to gain more information about a person’s development

  • seeking perspectives of several different people (e.g., parents, spouses, teachers) about what strengths and what difficulties a person has

  • conducting standardized psychological and neurological tests

  • reviewing records of past psychological testing or treatment

Once information is gathered, we will score and interpret data, write a report that details the results of each test, and include a conclusion about diagnosis/diagnoses and recommendations.
